What year makes and models do we work on?

We service most domestic and import vehicles from model year 2000 and newer. Because some makes and models require specialized equipment or manufacturer-specific software, we recommend calling our service advisors before scheduling your appointment. We'll be happy to let you know if we're the right shop for your vehicle.

Can I bring in my own parts?

To ensure the quality of our repairs and provide a complete parts and labor warranty, we install only parts that we supply. This allows us to stand behind every repair and ensures the correct parts are used for your vehicle.

I have my own key, will you cut and program it?

To ensure reliability and warranty coverage, we cut and program only the keys we supply. This helps us guarantee proper compatibility with your vehicle and stand behind our work.

I lost all my keys, how much to make a new one? And are you mobile?

Yes, in many cases we can. Since we're not a mobile locksmith, your vehicle will need to be towed to our shop. Pricing depends on your vehicle's year, make, model, and whether manufacturer security codes must be obtained. Please call us before arranging a tow so we can confirm we're able to assist and explain the documents you'll need to verify ownership.

Can I get my car in today for repair?

We recommend scheduling an appointment to ensure the quickest service. Depending on our schedule and the type of repair needed, we may be able to inspect your vehicle the same day. Give us a call, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Do you do wheel alignments?

Yes. Before performing an alignment, we'll inspect your steering and suspension components to make sure your vehicle is capable of being aligned correctly. If worn or damaged parts are found, we'll discuss your options before proceeding. Contact our service advisors for current pricing. We do not perform alignments on vehicles that have been lifted or have modifications.

I need a tire repair, can you fix it?

At this time, we do not offer tire repair services unless the tire was originally purchased through our shop. We'd be happy to recommend a trusted local tire shop that can assist you.

I have a check engine light on?

If your Check Engine Light comes on, we can perform a complimentary code scan on many vehicles to identify the stored fault codes. Please keep in mind that a code scan does not diagnose the problem—it simply tells us where to begin testing. Additional diagnostic testing may be required to determine the actual cause. Some manufacturers, including BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, and others, require specialized equipment and may not qualify for a complimentary scan.

I have a radiator that needs to be repaired, can you repair it?

We no longer perform radiator repairs. Instead, we replace radiators with high-quality new components that meet our standards for reliability and warranty coverage. We also no longer service farm equipment, tractor radiators, or other non-automotive radiators.

I've done my own work and I still have a problem. How much to do a diagnostic?

Yes. Vehicles that have already had parts replaced or previous repairs attempted often require additional diagnostic time. Our technicians must verify previous repairs, inspect installed components, and return to the original concern before continuing the diagnostic process. Because of the additional time involved, diagnostics for these situations typically are priced on a case by case basis, but we'll discuss the process and expected costs with you before any work begins.

I have replaced my own computer and I need it programmed. How much for this service?

Programming customer-supplied modules is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Our service advisors will gather information about your vehicle and the replacement module before consulting with a technician. If we're able to perform the programming, we'll provide an estimate based on the vehicle and the type of programming required.

How much will my repair cost?

Every repair is different, which is why we start with a thorough inspection of your vehicle. Once we've identified the issue, we'll explain our findings in plain language and provide a detailed estimate before any work begins. You'll always know the cost upfront, and we'll never perform unauthorized repairs. We also offer financing options to help make unexpected repairs more manageable.

Can you tell me what's wrong with my car over the phone?

We can often help narrow down the possible cause based on the symptoms you're experiencing, but an accurate diagnosis requires inspecting your vehicle. Today's vehicles are highly computerized, and many different issues can produce the same symptoms. Our goal is to identify the root cause the first time, saving you time, money, and unnecessary repairs.

Do I really need this repair?

We believe in transparency, not pressure. Every vehicle receives a comprehensive digital inspection with photos and detailed notes from our technicians. We categorize our findings into three priority levels:

• 🟢 Good: Everything is functioning properly.
• 🟡 Monitor: These items are beginning to show wear but don't require immediate attention. We'll recommend keeping an eye on them and discuss them during future maintenance visits.
• 🔴 Immediate Attention: These items affect the safety, reliability, or performance of your vehicle and should be addressed as soon as possible.

We'll review the inspection with you, answer your questions, and help you prioritize repairs based on your vehicle's condition, your budget, and your driving needs. The final decision is always yours.

Do you work with extended warranties?

Yes, we work with many extended warranty and vehicle service contract companies. Coverage varies depending on your specific contract, so we will need to verify your warranty details and obtain authorization before beginning covered repairs. Our team can help communicate with your warranty provider, provide the necessary documentation, and assist with the process. Please remember that your extended warranty company determines what repairs are covered, not the repair facility. Any items not covered by your contract will be your responsibility.

Do you offer a military discount?

We appreciate and are grateful for the many active-duty military members, veterans, and their families who trust Arizona Auto & Radiator Repair with their vehicles. Being located in Sierra Vista, we are proud to serve a large military community. At this time, we do not offer a separate military discount. Instead, we provide the same transparent pricing, quality repairs, warranty options, and loyalty rewards to all of our customers.
